Kansas Speedway gave me and the No. 55 Mobil 1 Toyota Racing Development USA Camry team another opportunity to keep building, learning, and pushing forward this season.
All weekend, we stayed focused on working through our setup and continuing to search for the right balance in the car. Kansas is a track that demands precision and adaptability, and I’m proud of how our team stayed committed to making adjustments, gathering data, and continuing to refine our approach every time we were on track.
Our day was unfortunately cut short after getting caught up in an on-track incident triggered by McFarland, which ultimately ended our race early. Situations like that are never in your control, but they’re part of racing—and part of the learning process.
While the result isn’t what we wanted, I know the progress we’re making is real. We’re continuing to put in the work, and we’re building something strong each week.
We’re continuing to learn a lot as a team. We know we’re capable of more, and we’re putting in the work to get there. Every race is giving us more clarity, and I’m focused on applying that moving forward.
I’m not focused on what’s behind us—just what’s ahead.
Next stop: Talladega Superspeedway.
A fresh opportunity. A reset. A chance to put it all together.
